Non possiamo esimerci dal tirare le somme di questo 2017 agli sgoccioli. La nostra Top 30 è nata con lo stesso spirito con cui da qualche tempo a questa parte abbiamo deciso di intendere Rockambula: uno spazio condiviso, in cui una manciata di curiosi appassionati di musica riversa i propri pensieri. A doversi scegliere un’identità ben definita, spesso di finisce per precludersi tante gradevoli sorprese.
E così nella lista degli album più meritevoli di quest’anno troviamo lo Stoner accanto al Synth Pop, il Conscious Rap americano e quello meticciato col Jazz, i songwriter più virtuosi e l’Avantgarde declinata in chiave Elettronica, Etno e Modern Classical. Come di consueto molti album d’oltreoceano – e quasi tutti a fare i conti con i risvolti post elettorali – ma anche esperimenti tedeschi, francesi, scandinavi e anche un po’ di quel Canada eclettico che ama le grandi imprese. Molti i ritorni in gran forma, qualche “premio alla carriera”, un ottimo esordio e tanti lavori strettamente personali, intimi, perturbanti e coinvolgenti.
